Never did Sajid Khan imagine that the leading men from his forthcoming mad-cap movie Humshakals would face security issues while filming in Mauritius. But to his utter surprise Sajid discovered that Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor were hit upon by men from the beautiful land, to the extent that they had to be driven away from the sets, informs a secret birdie.
It so happened that for the song Khol de dil ki khidki, the trio turned into women. The entire song sequence required all three actors to don exotic, feminine get ups, which in turn involved long hours of waxing body hair. Saifu, Riteish and Ram were even busy trying on new outfits and getting styled, just like the way our heroines do.
The trio also had to get their chests and legs waxed to look like women in this number. “I have dressed up as a woman for the first time for a film, and now I have developed a new found respect for women for all the preparations they have to go through,” maintained Saif about his experience of portraying a woman.
“The entire make up process was very tedious as it required sitting in straight positions to get our waxing done apart from the rigmarole of changing into women’s attire for the shoot” maintained Riteish.
The result of that diligent effort had an unexpected outcome though. We hear that few local men who had gathered to see the shooting of the song could not stop hitting upon the female avatar of Saif and Riteish!
